Who are we?
The Bradford Dance Academy (BDA) is a modern and innovative school offering tuition in dance since 1991. We have two studio locations; Manly Vale and Blacktown and have approximately 200 students ranging in age from 2 to 40 years plus.
What classes do we offer?
The school teaches a well rounded syllabus of R.A.D. Ballet, Jazz, Modern-Contemporary, Tap, Hip Hop, Theatrical, Singing and Drama. We also run other special classes from time to time such as Cheerleading and Latino Funk to complement students dancing skills.
Our school also offers special performance classes, which we call “Stage Class”. These classes are aimed to equip students with the tools of trade to become professional performers in the entertainment industry. Stage class students are required to do Jazz, Tap and Classical Ballet. These students then go on to perform on various shows, eisteddfods, expos, film and television.
At the end of each year we hold a spectacular concert, where every student in the school has the opportunity to “sparkle” and be a star on stage. The concert is usually held at the Parramatta Riverside Theater.
BDA is also privileged to be among a number of limited and select schools that performs at the Sydney Dance Expo each year. The standard is extremely high and we are very proud of our performers. We are also well respected on the Eisteddfod circuit and in the Entertainment Industry. Students have been asked to perform for Channel 7, Channel 10, Foxtel, various Rock Eisteddfods, popular children’s TV shows and the Mo Awards. Our senior students have also appeared in numerous movies, both here and overseas. Our principal, Nicole Bradford, has been both presenter and choreographer for many of these events
Other recent events were; performing at the closing ceremony for the Rugby World Cup (choreographed by Nicole) and performing at Seaworld and Dreamworld on the Gold Coast. An event so successful that they were subsequently asked to dance at the very plush newly opened Pacific Plaza Hotel in Surfer’s Paradise.
Reciprocal Rights
We often visit our sister school in Melbourne, the “Stapleton Dance Academy” to do seminars and shows together. Being a member of BDA allows you to take classes in this school should you be visiting the garden state.
Our Motto
The Bradford Dance Academy believes that no-one is too old or too young to learn to dance, sing or act, whether it be just for fun, to get fit, to make new friends, or ultimately to make it their career.
Best wishes,
Nicole Bradford
