Nicole is the founder and principal of the school and oversees all operations. She has been dancing from three years of age and her resume of dance and choreographic assignments over the past 20 years is extensive. She has a passion for dance perfection and as a mother of two very active girls knows how to get the best from your child.

Born in Singapore, Diana moved across borders to complete her university studies in Media and Communications. Diana is a dancer with Ecole Ballet Studios and was a student teacher there for 2 years during her RAD teacher's training. Currently, she works as a freelance teacher and enjoys teaching children and teenagers.

 

 

Warwick Allsopp

Warwick graduated from the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts in 2001. Musical theatre credits include Titanic- The Musical, The Pirates of Penzance, South Pacific, Karaoke- The Musical, and I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change.Theatre credits include The Dead ManBrake (Responsive Project for the Sydney Theatre Company), The Wind In The Willows(The AustralianShakespeare Company) and The Woman inBlack (in which he covered and performed the role of the Actor oppositeJohn Waters). Television creditsinclude All Saints, Home & Away, the Australian telemovie Scorched, ThePacific (US), and Comedy Cuts (UK).Warwick is also one half of the surreal comedy duo Allsopp and Henderson,and has co-written and performed shows around Australiaand the UK.Their first show, A Porthole Into TheMinds Of The Vanquished , received a Best Newcomer Nomination at the 2006Melbourne Comedy Festival, and enjoyed successful seasons at the Sydney OperaHouse, the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, and the Soho Theatre in London'sWest End. Their second show, The Jinglists (Winner of the 2008 Moosehead Award), toured around Australiain 2008 to critical acclaim.Warwick  has also completed a Bachelor of Teaching degree from the University of Sydney.

 

 

Jonathan Chan

As a graduate from The University of Wollongong with a Bachelor of Creative Arts (Theatre – Performance), Jonathan featured in numerous productions including Seeking Stephen Sondheim, The Rover (Sebastian), Migratory V (Directed by Peter Cousens), Cafe Breton - A Jacques Brel Caberet, LoveDot Com (Kurt Ching), Purcell’s opera Dido and Aeneas (Aeneas) and Hamlet(Laertes).Theatre Credits include: Miss Saigon (TheEngineer), Prison Break Live!Short, Sweet& Song 2008, Cats (Mungojerry), Shout! (Delltone), Seussical the Musical (Mayor of Whoville), Vaughan William’s Donna Nobis Pacem (Baritone soloist) A Funny Thing Happened OnThe Way To The Forum (Hero), the NSW premiere of Jekyll & Hyde(Spider), Back to the 80’s (Michael), Flower Drum Song (WangSan), Children of Eden (Abel/Ham), Joseph and the Amazing TechnicolorDreamcoatSouth Pacific, West Side Story, Annie and many others.Jonathan has worked as a Host for The Wiggles Character Shows.  For Santa's Kingdom Sydney, he createdand performed the role of "Myron True Love".  He has also written and performed in his owncabaret shows throughout Sydney.Television appearances include Channel Ten’s The Ronnie Johns Half Hour series 1and 2 and numerous International TV commercials for USA/Canada, Singapore and Hong Kong. Favourite appearances include the workshop cast of Guy Noble's Karaoke the Musical where in the role of "Flynn", creating the role of “Nam Tran” in theoriginal cast of Honey - A Play with Music, an adaption of BryceCourtenay's Smoky Joe's Cafe whichwas awarded Best New Australian Play (GLUG Awards 2007).  In 2008, Jonathan completed a NationalTour with the Australian Theatre of the Deaf. Jonathan is currently touring Nationally with Sadakoand The Thousand Paper Cranes in the roles of Masahiro/Father/Doctor. (Psych Ward Inmate/Inmate, (Judah),

Jonathan has been singing since the age of 10 where he started his training as a boys oprano in St Mary's Cathedral Choir. For the past 10 years he has been studying singing with internationally acclaimed operatic soprano, Dolores Cambridge.

 

Daniella Boynton / Luke Leonard

Teaches: Junior Jazz and Tap / Cheerleading

Luke has been dancing with BDA for 8 years. He has represented the school in eisteddfods and various dance expos. In 2003 he won the in-house award for Tap and in the same year won the coveted Student of the year. Lukes goal is to excel in all forms of dance at the highest level.

Daniella has been dancing with BDA for 6 years. In 2006 she won Student of the year. She recently won the Northern Beaches Eisteddfod for Trio Jazz and was a performer in the winning school of this yearsRock Eisteddfod Challenge.

 

 

Carissa Walford

Teaches: Cheerleading

Carissa has danced at BDA for over 4 years. She is currently cheerleading for the Sydney Kings (formerly with Parramatta Eels). She is also professionally singing and dancing and pursuing a career in the entertainment industry. She is working on recording and is teaching dancing at various dance schools. She recently won runner up Miss Inside Sport. She has featured in a Wolfmother film clip, a Subway commercial and has been a model for Inside Sport magazine.
